Bromyard Round the Downs

29.06.25

This year, the brand-new adult one-lap course, features a 10km multi-terrain route starting at Bromyard Rugby Club. Participants will traverse beautiful off-road scenery, including trails and tracks. Please note that the course is predominantly off-road, so be aware of uneven surfaces. A busy road must be crossed; while marshals will be present to offer guidance, we cannot stop or obstruct oncoming traffic.

Runners will ascend to the Bromyard Downs, where spectacular views await. The halfway point is at Warren Farm, with a water station provided. Runners will then return down Burying Lane, finishing back at Bromyard Rugby Club.

Fun Run - 2k

The Junior Fun Run will cover 2km and DBS-checked marshals will be present to assist with the route.

The 2km fun run is designed for ages 4 and up, featuring flat terrain off-road. As this is a fun run this will not be chipped timed.

The start and finish line for the Fun Run will be in close proximity to the Rugby Club, however to access this involves walking a very short distance on the road.
As this road will not be closed, ALL participants must be accompanied by an adult and will not be allowed access to the start/finish line without one. Marshalls will be present on this stretch of road (although they will not be stopping traffic) and signs will be displayed to notify road users of pedestrians.

Each child participant will receive a medal and sweets.
Please ensure that children are dressed appropriately in suitable footwear and clothing for running.

Clear signposting and marshals will be positioned throughout the course, so please take a moment to thank them as you pass. They are there to assist with any medical emergencies. Please remember that runners participate at their own risk.

HQ: Bromyard Rugby Club

Parking is available at Bromyard Rugby Club, although spaces are limited. We encourage car sharing where possible. Marshals will be on hand to assist with parking and once at capacity, they will direct you to alternative locations which will involve a short walk to the rugby club.

ROUTE:

The course features predominantly off-road terrain, including uneven surfaces of grass, paths, and tarmac. The views are truly worth the experience.

Please be advised that the roads will not be closed and therefore will be active highways. Signs will be present to notify road users of runners and to encourage appropriate speed. Participants will need to cross a busy road with marshals present to assist, though we cannot stop oncoming traffic. Runners should remain on paths whenever possible, and if no path is available, please run on the right side of the road. There will be a few short sections that single file is advised so please look out for the signs.

PRIZES:

Adult participants will receive chip timing, personalised running bibs, a bespoke finishers medal, access to a water station, and a piece of homemade cake at the finish line.

Trophies will be presented for the First Female and First Male. Also, for the First Local Female and First Local Male (within a 3-mile radius of Bromyard Downs, with addresses verified).

FOOD & PHOTOGRAPHY

Food vendors will be available.
- The rugby club will offer drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
- An ice-cream van will be present.
- All participants will receive complimentary homemade cake.

A photographer will be present during the event, and photos will be published on our social media pages a few weeks afterward. If you prefer not to appear in any photos, please use the provided
